XIV MARATÓN ALPINO MADRILEÑO

CERCEDILLA, DOMINGO 13 DE JUNIO DE 2010

 

 

REGULATION  16TH EDITION OF “MARATON ALPINO MADRILEÑO”

       

1.       It will take place on June 13th of 2010 and start at 8.00 AM at the “POLIDEPORTIVO MUNICIPAL DE CERCEDILLA” in Madrid. This race is acknowledged with this regulation by the International  Skyrunning Federation (ISP) and the  “Federación Madrileña de Motañismo (FMM)”

2.       The race will have an approximate route distance of 42 km, through the central area of the “Sierra de Guadarrama”. And will accumulate a negative and positive difference in height of more than 5.300 meters.

3.       CATEGORIES:  all persons over the age of 18 years may participate, up to a maximum of 300 with a strict entry order in the  following categories (age at the time of the race):

-Absolute (General) (Masculine and feminine)

-Veteran Male & Veteran Female                          from 40 to 49 years of age.

-Veteran Male & Veteran Female                          50 year of age and upwards.

4. Entries: up to a maximum of 300 runners. Entries to be done from Monday 17th of May through Friday 28th of May of 2010 at the “Corricolari” offices, located at Paseo Marqués de Monistrol  7, 3º, Madrid. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. Online entries at: www.corricolari.es (see entries /registration  link)

5.  Fees: the entry fee is 38€, which include participation in the race, civil responsibility and accident insurances, T-shirt, provisioning, cloakroom service, massage service, shower service, access to the Trail fair, price drawing, and as many gifts the organization will obtain. For members of the “Tierra Trágame Club” the entry fee is 34€, and for “Corricolari” members 36€. A fee of  70€ will be paid for entries outside the established entry period; if numbers are available.

NO FEE REIMBURSMENT WILL BE MADE IN CASE OF NO PARTICIPATION, whichever the cause may be.

6. TRAIL SIGNPOSTING AND CHECK POINTS:  the route will be signposted with bright colored plastic ribbon. Trespassing of all check points is a must. Completed distance references may be found at some check points.

7. CHECK TIMES: Participants, who exceed the time of 2 hours and 45 minutes at the first check point through “Puerto de Cotos” or the time of 5 hours and 0 minutes at the second time passing “Puerto de Cotos” check point, will have to leave the race. Nor the organization or the assistance services won’t be able to guarantee its coverage after these times. In the same way, “Corredores Escoba” or the responsible person at each check point will have the right to withdraw any runner  from the race if his/her race time or his/her vital health signs indicate so. The participant who withdraws from the race will have to give notice to the next check point. Maximum time for completion of the race: 9 hours.

8. Provisioning: there will be 9 fluid provisioning points, and 4 solid provisioning points. Plus those at the finishing line.

9. PRICES: Exclusive granite trophy in value of 300€ for the general female and male winners, and additionally other gifts. There will be trophies for the 3 first females and males of each category. A gift drawing will take place at 2.30 pm. The special trophy “Fernando Garcia Herreros” will be given to those who have finished all the editions of the marathon.

10.ALPINE CIRCUIT 2009. Consisting of “Maraton alpino madrileño”, “marathon alpine Galarleiz” (18th of July), “Maraton Penedos do Lobo (19th of September), and “Maraton de Jarapalos” (13th of November). At least 3 of the 4 marathons have to be completed. Prices and gifts for those who finish the racecourse. Trophies and special gifts for the 3 first males and females. 11. This regulation may be modified by the organization if required at any time. All modifications will be informed to each participant. The completion of the entry form means the acceptance of all rules of this regulation. All participants will follow the instructions given by the organizers, being disqualified those who: disobey this regulation, don’t complete the full route, litter the environment, don’t wear their numbers visible, or do not pay attention to the instructions given by the organization.

12. The organization reserves the right to undertake any modification depending on the different determining factors, as well as the cancellation of the race for meteorological conditions or major disrupting reasons.

13. Participants are required to assist any injured participant, and to respect all traffic rules at road crosses. Participants are also required to be respectful with the environment

14. The organization cannot accept any responsibility in case of accident, negligence, or damages which participants may receive or cause, exonerating the organization of all responsibility.

15. All regulations not contemplated in this regulation will be ruled by the regulation of the “ Federación Madrileñan de Montañismo” and “Federacion Española de Deportes de Montaña y Escalada”
